Until I actually get to Juneau, my posts will probably be quite boring but I want to keep you all updated and I know you want to hear more of my great ways to stretch Juneau! Ju neau you want to!
It seems so close, yet so far away! I will be leaving from St. Louis on May 21st for 5 days of driving, camping, and staying in generous churches on way to Haines, where we'll take a ferry to Juneau! Over the past few weeks, a large portion of the men and women who will be spending summer 09 in Juneau have been trying to organize some form of massive 3,000-ish mile road trip to Juneau and we're finally coming to something that we hope is close to our finalized plans!
With financial support having come in from 6 people at the moment, I have about 11% of my financial goal. I have contacted the two churches I attend in Peoria and both are going to support me! Also, I know a number of other friends and family members who have told me that they will be supporting me as well! The financial support is coming along slowly, but it is coming. None of this would be possible without your prayers!
Continued prayers for myself and the other members of the Project Foxtrot are greatly appreciated!
Prayers:
- preparation of those that will be staffing project
- spiritual, mental, and physical preparation of all of us going on project
- for people to continue giving support financialy and through prayer
- for me to trust that this is how I should be spending my summer
- for my ankle (that I injured last November) to continue healing and gaining strength so that the pain will stop and won't interfere with things I will be doing this summer
